Each vegetarian HPMC capsule contains 1000mg food grade acrylic acid superabsorbent polymer, 522mg calcium carbonate,and less than 2% vegetable magnesium stearate.

Fluid Manager absorbs fluid from your gut. Fluid Manager traps and retains fluid so it cannot be released back into the body. Fluid is transformed into an indigestible gel that is excreted from the body naturally — so it is not processed by the kidneys.

Every dry particle of Fluid Manager material absorbs up to 65 times its weight  A single one-gram capsule can absorb up to 65 grams of fluid. By transforming fluid into a non digestible gel, Fluid Manager diverts the method of elimination of fluid from the renal route to the gastrointestinal route.

Depending on how much water you require to swallow a capsule, the superabsorbent material can absorb the water you drink in order to swallow the capsule. The swallowed capsule lands in 20-100ml of stomach fluid. Fluid Manager absorbs up to 65 times its weight.

In animal studies, use Fluid Manager decreased the rate of rise of serum creatinine. When 5/6 nephrectomized rats were followed for 11 weeks, rats eating the product showed return of BUN to normal. Supplementation with the product in combination with 1/6th kidney function allowed for the animals’ extended survival.

Time will tell whether supplementation with Fluid Manager can reduce or replace dialysis. However, what we have seen in clinical studies is that after 8 weeks of supplementation with Fluid Manager at 15g per day, people with heart failure and chronic kidney disease experienced clinically meaningful improvements in measures of fluid overload, including improvements in blood pressure; body weight; ability to breathe; endurance; heart failure classification; and other quality of life measures.
